Welcome to Reigate and Banstead Home choice, Reigate and Banstead Borough Council's way of allocating housing association properties for rent.
We aim to give you more choice in deciding where you want to live. Properties that are available for rent will be advertised each week.
Following the adoption of the new Housing Register and Allocations Policy, applicants in temporary accommodation (Waiting list Band B) will not be allocated a property through home choice (will not have the opportunity to ‘bid’ on Band B properties).
From September 2011 new rules will apply to many of the properties that we advertise on behalf of RSLs (Housing associations).
The Government has made changes to the level of rent that can be charged, the type of tenancy, and the length of tenancy.
Each RSL (Housing association) is implementing these changes differently - so if you are bidding on a property you need to check the full details carefully - particularly the level of rent, type of tenancy and the length of the tenancy.
Please be advised we will contact your landlord upon nomination to check previous tenancy conduct.
You must tell us which properties you are interested in. This process is known as bidding. You may only bid for a property if your application has been accepted onto our housing register.
